This is an excellent opportunity to join our team of support staff as a casual Cover Supervisor. As part of the team, you will be required to assist the with general administrative tasks and, to be in the classroom in the absence of a member of the teaching staff to support students. Your contribution will make a huge difference to children's lives, ensuring that they have continual access to learning.
Due to the current COVID19 outbreak, Teaching Personnel is currently experiencing a high volume of recruitment requests for September 2020, as schools now do not have the capacity to focus on recruitment for the new academic year.
The role of a Cover Supervisor is vital to Secondary schools. You play a key part in pupils education from year 7 to 11, and are extremely important to the support teams in school.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Cover lessons across all subjects and key stages whilst the main classroom teacher Is absent.
- Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis, in and outside the classroom.
- Provide pupils with help and guidance with the work they have been set by the main classroom teacher.
- Ensure all pupils are behaving and adhering by the behaviour policy.
The hours of work which are on an 'as and when needed basis' will be any time during the school day (from 8.30 am to 3.05pm pm), term time only, 38 weeks per year.

You will have:
- A good standard of education and enjoy working with young people, so you can help and support students aged 11-16 years of age in the classroom.
- Good administrative skills
- Previous experience of working in schools, although beneficial, is not essential as you will receive training.
