Job description

We are working as recruitment partners for an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in Rochdale assisting them in the restructuring of their support team for the academic year. They are currently seeking a full time Cover Supervisor to join the school for the remainder of the academic year to help support the school with planned and unplanned absences in a wide range of departments.

  • Full time position as a Cover Supervisor for the remainder of the academic year
  • Working at an Ofsted graded 'Good' school in the Shawclough area of Rochdale
  • Supporting a variety of departments dependent on the needs of the school
  • Get paid up to £70(negotiable) a day, dependent on experience
  • Extra development opportunities available through further training programmes

Our client school is a large secondary school in the Shawclough area of Rochdale with an excellent reputation in the local community and a tradition for delivering good GCSE results and providing a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils. The incoming Cover Supervisor must be able to uphold this strong reputation and promote the values and ethos of the school. Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor would be preferred, however we would consider applications from those with similar transferable experience, such as those who have worked as a Teaching Assistant, or any recent graduates considering a career in education in the future.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to cover set lesson plans in the absence of the subject tutor whilst ensuring the schools behaviour policy is adhered to. You will not be expected to plan or mark any work, however a good sense of general knowledge is essential to be able to provide good advice to pupils for any work related queries they may have.
