Cover Supervisor – Step Into the Classroom!
Location: Northampton & Surrounding Areas (NN1, NN2, NN3, NN4, NN5)
Pay: Competitive Weekly Pay (PAYE – No Umbrella Fees)
Contract: Flexible
Are you a graduate, an aspiring teacher, or a natural mentor?
Whether you’re looking for a launchpad into a PGCE, a recent graduate wanting to gain experience, or simply looking for a rewarding role that fits your lifestyle—this is your opportunity.
We are looking for confident, motivated, and resilient Cover Supervisors to join our partner secondary schools across Northampton. No two days are the same, and the experience you gain here is second to none.
Why Join Us?
- The Northampton Advantage: We work with a wide variety of secondary schools and academies throughout Northamptonshire, meaning we can keep your work local to you.
- Total Flexibility: You’re in control. Work 5 days a week or just 1 or 2—our easy-to-use app makes managing your diary effortless.
- Level Up Your CV: Access our Exclusive CPD Academy, featuring courses in Classroom Management and SEN support to give you a competitive edge.
- Honest Pay: Competitive daily rates paid weekly via PAYE. No hidden umbrella fees.
The Role: Leading the Classroom
As a Cover Supervisor, you aren't just "filling in"—you are the leader of the room. Your mission includes:
- Classroom Leadership: Managing student behaviour and maintaining a positive, productive learning environment.
- Facilitating Lessons: Delivering pre-set lesson plans across various subjects. You don't need to be a subject expert—you just need to be a great communicator!
- Student Support: Helping students stay on task, encouraging their progress, and making a real impact on their day.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: A background working with young people (coaching, youth work, tutoring, or volunteering).
- Presence: The confidence to command a room and the ability to build rapport with teenagers.
- Resilience: An adaptable "can-do" attitude and a calm head under pressure.
- Eligibility: A degree or A-Levels are preferred. You must hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
