Construction Teacher

Job description

We are recruiting for a specialist BTEC Construction Tutor to work in an alternative provision with children who present challenging behaviour and SEMH.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and experience:

  • Previous experience in construction
  • Experience of working with children in an education setting who present with SEN including MDL, SEMH, ASC, and ADHD
  • Able to plan and deliver engaging and interactive sessions to students
  • Able to manage challenging behaviour and previous experience with children who present with anxiety
  • Available 8:30 - 16:30 - 5 days per week
  • Experience with working with children on a one to one basis
  • Previous experience with working alongside children in vocational setting
  • Confident to re-engage students who are disaffected and not currently engaged in their education

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
