Classroom Assistant (SEN) - Bradford

Job description

Teaching Personnel is currently working with a SEN school based in Bradford, which caters for pupils with ASC, MLD & SLD. They are looking for a Classroom Assistant on a part-time basis (up to 3 days a week) to commence ASAP.

The school are looking to appoint an experienced SEN Classroom Assistant to support pupils with additional needs with a variety learning activities. You will be working on a 1:1 or small group basis, supporting pupils with Autism, Moderate and Severe Learning needs. You will have a sound understanding of meeting the needs of SEN pupils and you will also be comfortable providing personal care.

Additional training such as Team-Teach or Autism Awareness would be desirable, although this training can be provided by Teaching Personnel.

If you have experience working with special educational needs and disabilities such as Physical - muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, chronic asthma, epilepsy.
Developmental - down syndrome, autism, dyslexia, processing disorders.
Behavioural/Emotional - ADD, bi-polar, oppositional defiance disorder - we would love to hear from you.
