Teaching Personnel are working with a local school which specialise in supporting young people with additional learning needs of all levels. The main attribute that they are really looking to tackle with the children is increasing their communication and teamwork. The best way to combat this is through sports and team building activities during break and lunchtime.

What would the ideal educator need to have?

-          Sporty background with a passion for keeping young people active and understanding the importance of living a healthy lifestyle

-          Has a passion for support young people in becoming independent in their future lives

-          Is willing to learn within an ALN environment on how best to support the young people

-          Has an understanding of how to manage behaviours, whether that be volatile or emotional

-          Is looking for a role they can commit to long term

-          Be willing to learn on the job and adapt to different scenarios presented in the classroom

-          We ask that you bring a positive attitude, a pro-active approach and a willingness to learn. We can teach you the rest!

The school itself is based in Penarth in the Vale of Glamorgan. It covers for different age ranges, from 3-19. The school has been specifically built to support individuals with all levels of additional needs and make them feel as comfortable as possible. Therefore, you will be in amongst state of the art facilities and specialist trained staff to assist you with your journey into becoming a specialist Teaching Assistant.

Pay – 12.90 per hour / £83.85 per day – Paid weekly without charge

Hours – 8:30 – 3:30 (Monday to Friday, NO WEEKENDS!)

Contract – Temporary / Flexible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
