Have you got a background in Psychology? Are you interested in studying and analysing behaviour? Do you have a passion for teaching and education?

Teaching Personnel are helping one of the largest Special Educational Needs schools in Wales source a Psychology Graduate to join their team of passionate educators. This particular provision caters for pupils from ages 3 to 19 with a range of additional needs which include, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and complex needs. The ideal candidate will be available to work Monday to Friday, 08:30 till 15:30 on a full-time basis.

 

Your role within the school:

  • Provided 1:1 and group support for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN).
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the students' education.
  • Support the class teacher develop learning plans based on students’ individual needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
  • This role may include personal care.

 

Applicants must:

  • Have an enhanced DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Have completed safeguarding training or be willing to complete.
  • Provide 2 recent references.
  • Have a background in psychology.
  • Be able to commute or relocate to Penarth.
  • Be driven, energetic and keen to pursue a career in education and special needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
