Job description

We are looking for a strong Child Support Mentor to work with children and young people with challenging behaviours and SEMH. The role is working full time from 8:30-3:30 5 days a week. The positions are working in term time only.

The school is looking for candidates who are looking to support pupils on a 1:1 basis and are able to support and promote pupils well being effectively. The pupils have Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours so we need someone who is looking for full time ongoing to ensure the pupil is supported correctly.

Being able to drive is necessary as candidates will be supporting their pupil on and off site with different learning based activities. The pupils have timetables suited to their needs and abilities where they entail additional curricular activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent
  • NVQ level 3 or BTEC level 3
  • Full driving licence with access to their own vehicle
  • Passion for working with SEN/SEMH/Challenging behaviours
  • Availability to start as soon as possible
