Chemistry teacher – Surbiton - GBP28,660 to 41,483

A highly rated secondary school in South West London, Surbiton, is currently seeking a Chemistry teacher to work full time from January 2020. Ofsted have rated the school “outstanding” noting the efficiency of the senior leadership, highlighting how decisive and effective their decisions are.

  • Chemistry teaching position

  • Full time; 5 days a week from 8:30am to 3:30pm

  • Contract runs to July 2020 initially, with an opportunity to go permanent for the 2020/2021 academic year

  • Pay per annum is between GBP28,660 and 41,483 depending on experience and edcuation

  • Required to teacher Chemistry to key stage 5 and General Science to key stage 4

 

The Senior Leadership and Head of Science at the Surbiton based secondary school are looking to hire a fully qualified Chemistry teacher, with a PGCE or QTS, who has good subject knowledge. Experience teaching Chemistry up to key stage 5 is a must, with the incoming teacher having at least 2 years experience teaching. There is an element of creativity afforded to teachers to plan innovative lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teachers require a PGCE or QTS, specialising in Chemistry or similar

  • Must have two years experience teaching

  • Able to teach up to key stage 5

  • Willing and able to mark, prepare and plan work

  • Available full time from January

 

Located in Surbiton, this “outstanding” secondary school is easily accessible via public transport and has parking on site for staff that prefer to drive. The school is based on large grounds surrounded by woodlands and fields, which are regularly used by the school. Alongside the idyllic surroundings, the school has state-of-the-art facilities including three full equipped science labs.
