Teaching Personnel are working closely with one of our client secondary schools based in Salford who are seeking to appoint a Chemistry Teacher from September 2019. Initially on a fixed term contract until the end of the academic year, there is a permanent gap in the Science department for the perfect candidate.

• Full time Teacher of Chemistry required from September 2019
• Fixed term contract until July 2020 in the first instance

• Chemistry specialist ideally, although Biology and Physics specialist encouraged to apply
• Teaching in specialism up to KS4 level
• Smaller than average 'Good' secondary school in Salford
• Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720 - £39,406)

Our client is a smaller than average, modern academy based in the Media City area of Salford, and has recently appointed a new Principal to continue their journey on the route to become an 'Outstanding' provider of education. Since moving to a state of the art new building in 2012, students enrolled at our client school have access to fantastic facilities throughout the range of subjects on offer and with a planned expansion upcoming, there is a gap in the successful and hard working Science department.

Ideal candidates will have a specialism in Chemistry, although they should have experience of teaching all three disciplines of Science up to KS3 level. At KS4 level, Teachers deliver lessons based on their specialism through both the double and triple award curriculums. This role will include full department responsibilities of planning and marking. The department is serviced by three dedicated and specialist technicians, with teaching taking place in state of the art labs. Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply for this, with the school having an excellent provision for those new to the profession with a proven track record.
