Part-time Chemistry Teacher role in Bury – ASAP start
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a ‘Good’ Ofsted graded secondary school in Bury, aiding them in recruiting a new Science Teacher with a Chemistry specialism.
Please see further information below:
- Part-time role starting as soon as possible until the end of the academic year.
- Both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply for this position as all relevant induction support will be provided.
- Must hold specific subject qualifications in Science.
- Pay in line with teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 per annum).
- Teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE.
Working as a Science teacher in our client secondary school, will involve the following roles and responsibilities:
- Assessing and evaluating student’s progress and reporting this back to Senior Teachers in order to take appropriate action where needed.
- Planning, preparing and delivering Chemistry lessons to meet the needs of individual students at various levels of learning.
- Promoting positive behaviour management in line with the school behaviour policies.
- Aiding pupils with learning difficulties and providing extra support when needed.
Application Requirements
- Must have QTS alongside a subject specialism within Science.
- Any experience with challenging behaviour or learning difficulties is desired.
- Must have Chemistry as a specialism or have experience teaching Chemistry up to GCSE level.
Our client school is located in Bury and is easily accessible via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas such as Prestwich, Whitefield and Radcliffe. For candidates who do not drive, our client school is also accessible via public transport from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
