Business Studies & ICT- Teacher- Manchester

Teaching Personnel have recently been approached by an Outstanding secondary school located in Manchester to recruit for a Business Studies & ICT Teacher. This full time position (scheduled to begin from October 2018) represents a fantastic opportunity for a Business Studies & ICT Teacher to teach in one of the highest performing schools in the local area:

Overview-

  • Teaching position of Business Studies & ICT to Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience (£22,917- £38,633)

The role-

Due to a permanent gap within the ICT faculty, the Head teacher of this highly reputable secondary school wishes to appoint a Business Studies & ICT Teacher from October 2018. This position will initially be for a term but there is a possibility of a fixed-term/permanent contract thereafter.

The incoming Business Studies & ICT Teacher will join a high performing department who have access to fantastic facilities. The department currently comprises of seven highly experienced teachers, who are determined to develop and further improve the teaching of Business and ICT for all abilities. The school offer the ICT curriculum to both Key Stages 3 & 4 and the BTEC Business Studies course at Key Stage 4.

The school is a larger than average size with over 1,600 pupils on roll. Due to the large pupil numbers, the percentage of those eligible for the pupil premium funding is higher than the national average. The vast majority of pupils who attend the school are from White British backgrounds.

It is located on the outskirts of Manchester city centre making it only a short drive from the surrounding areas of Tameside. There are also direct buses from Manchester city centre that stop directly outside the school.
