Biology teacher

  • Full time position from October covering maternity leave
  • Teaching GCSE Biology and lower school Chemistry and Physics)
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant upon experience

Biology teacher required at a Salford secondary school in Salford.

*Full time position – October start

*Teaching GCSE Biology and lower school Chemistry and Physics)

*Covering maternity leave till the end of the academic year (July 2017)

Our client school located in Salford seek to appoint a Biology teacher to cover a maternity leave within their Science department from October 2016.

The ideal candidate for this position will;

*Hold full UK QTS and a PGCE in secondary Science (Newly qualified teachers welcome to apply)

*Specialise within Biology but be comfortable teaching all areas of Science

*Be able to consistently display ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ practice

This is a smaller than average 11-16 mixed comprehensive secondary school with 693 pupils on roll. The amount of pupils eligible for pupil premium funding is higher than average, but pupils make excellent progress in English, Maths and Science. This is a well established secondary school and a lead training school across Greater Manchester. The schools senior leadership team support all staff needs and provide regular CPD opportunities to ensure best practice.

Located in the heart of Salford, the school is in an excellent location a short drive from the M602 and East Lancashire road, making it easily accessible from the surrounding areas, Manchester, Bolton, Wigan and Bury.
