SEN Teaching Assistant - Challenging Behaviour - Cardiff - ASAP

Q - Are you an exceptional Psychology graduate with your sights set on a career in Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Q - Are you looking for invaluable classroom-based experience, supporting children with challenging behaviour?

If so, this SEN Teaching Assistant post could be just what you have been looking for.

Teaching Personnel's SEN Branch are currently working with a client school that is looking to recruit a bright and hardworking graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who has an interest and preferably some experience in working with children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties. You will need to be an empathetic SEN Teaching Assistant who is also resilient, hard-working, fully committed and open to receiving additional training & development opportunities on an ongoing basis.

Interviews for this SEN Teaching Assistant role are taking place w/c 21st January 2019, so apply today and your Consultant from Teaching Personnel will contact you for an informal initial telephone interview if you have been shortlisted for a possible interview at the school.

Job - SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • SEN Teaching Assistant - SEMH / Behaviour Support, complex needs
  • SEN students aged between 8-18 years old
  • Excellent opportunity to gain paid classroom experience
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract
  • £65- £75 daily Rate
  • January 2019 - at least July 2019 - Full-Time - Term-Time

Person - SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Bright, confident Psychology graduate (or related) required
  • Experience with children required, ideally experience working with children who display challenging behaviour
  • You will need to have a strong character and a willingness to learn to develop
  • Clearly passionate about working with children with SEN

School - SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Based in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan
  • Focus on creative curriculum, individual learning and social skills
  • Fantastic induction process & Supportive team
  • Free staff parking available
