Behaviour Teaching Assistant

A specialist school in Crawley are seeking a Behaviour specialist Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a temporary role for one term, with an opportunity to become a permanent member of staff. The school is an 11-16 provision catering for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs and challenging behaviour.

The school is located just outside Central Crawley. This is a mixed-sex school, with small capacity and in their most recent Ofsted inspection, they received a rating of 'Good'.

You will be required to work on a full time basis, Monday to Friday, supporting students emotionally and academically. Due to the type of work you will be undertaking, you will need to be capable of dealing with students with challenging and confrontational behaviour. Experience of working within an SEMH Provision or Pupil Referral Unit is desireable, however, not necassary.
