Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Job description

Teaching Personnel have been specifically approached by a school in Wakefield to recruit a behaviour buddy for group of SEN children within the school. The children do have challenging behaviour stemming from their SEMH background.

The OFSTED rated 'Good' school are seeking a behaviour specialist to competently work in harmony with the supportive school who will ensure you have a team that will work with you. The school is located close to the City Centre and has easy links via public transport.

As the support assistant you will:

  • Have good behaviour management
  • Some experience of children with SEN needs, in particular SEMH would be advantageous
  • Any relevant training like Team Teach is also advantageous but not essential
