Specialist teaching assistant

  • £1,200 per month
  • Working along side the SENCO to raise attainment
  • Following the schools behaviour policies

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Secondary school located South of Derby with a requirement for a Behaviour Support Assistant from February half term.

The school has an Inclusion Unit on site that is currently staffed with 12 support assistants, and due to an increase in pupils, they wish to appoint another member of support staff specialising in positive behaviour management.

- Full time position

- Until the end of the academic year

- £1,200 per month

- Working within the Inclusion Unit

- Supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour

- 1:1 interventions, utilising the behaviour policy

- Reporting progress to SENCO and Inclusion Manager

**Previous experience working with young people aged 11-16 is essential for this position.**

It is required that the successful Behaviour Support Assistant has previously worked with children and young people who display challenging behaviour, and can effectively manage this. Graduates, Teaching Assistants and Mentors are welcome to apply for this position.
