Job description

We have a Teaching Assistant opportunity in a secondary school in Bournemouth. Do you have a background in supporting children who are slightly disengaged with learning? Have you worked as a Behaviour or Youth Mentor, in an academic or sporting capacity?
If you are interested in working in a school and think you would suit a role as a Teaching Assistant working with pupils who display challenging behaviour this could be the perfect role for you.
Required to start immediately, the school we are working with is looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor/ Teaching Assistant to their support staff team on a full time basis. You will be working closely with the Special Needs Co-ordinator, supporting pupils within the classroom and ensuring they stay switched on in class and focus with their work, most notably in English and Maths. The roles will be working full time; some of your responsibilities may include deescalating incidents of behaviour and reporting any issues to the Pastoral team.
The school is much larger than average and is best described as a culturally diverse school on a journey of improvement.
When working with us you will benefit from:
- Gaining crucial experience to boost your CV-which is highly useful to individuals who are working towards the completion of a PGCE
- Working with the leading recruitment agency in the UK
- Opportunities to experience working in schools and grow vital skills in secondary education.
- Competitive rates of pay
- Access to ongoing development through our CPD Academy
If this sounds like a position where you would thrive, please apply below to send your CV
