Behaviour and Autism specialist required in Walthamstow

An SEN school in Walthamstow are looking to hire staff with behaviour experience.

The school cater to a wide range of needs from Autism, Behaviour and PMLD students but have more students across the autistic spectrum and more behaviour focused needs.

Teaching personnel are seeking full time behaviour teaching assistants for a behaviour assessment centre in Walthamstow.

This lovely school is part of a multi site academy of specialist SEN schools across East London with opportunities to develop a career in SEN.

We are looking for committed TAs who posses the passion and confidence to support secondary aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream school due to consistent behavioural challenges.

Role: KS3- KS4 1:1 Behaviour Teaching assistant

  • Previous experience working in PRU or behaviour setting
  • Proven track record of raising attainment in young people with behavioural difficulties
  • Able to provide 1:1 support and group support
  • Ability to write concise evaluations of 1:1 sessions
  • Safeguarding training Level 1 as minimum
  • Committed to school term time, full time hours : Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm

*For this role you must have a Child DBS on the update service*

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
