Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Our client school located in Leicester, wish to appoint a teaching assistant with previous youth work experience, to support pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Full time Teaching Assistant position, immediate start.
- £50 - £60 per day depending upon previous experiences
- Fantastic opportunity to enhance future Teacher training applications
- Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Working with disengaged learners
The successful Teaching Assistant will support students in class across the subject areas, and deliver targeted interventions to students on a 1:1 basis during lessons and break times. Further to this, the appointed Youth Work Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, which is great experience of classroom and behaviour management. Due to some of the students displaying challenging behaviour, the role will also involve working closely with pupils who have been withdrawn from lessons.
Located near to the city centre, with close by public transport links our partner school is accessible from neighbouring areas Oadby, Glenfield and Birstall. They currently have over 250 pupils on roll, making the School slightly larger than average. The school have expressed that the appointed Teaching Assistant has previous experience of working with students who display challenging behaviour.
