Are you a Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant/Youth Worker?
Do you enjoy working with pupils with behavioural difficulties?
I work closely with a School based in Blackburn who are seeking support assistants to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours. The School is smaller than average and many of the pupils are supported on a 1:1 basis. The School is based in Burnley and the staff are very supportive and welcoming.
The School is seeking a support asisstant on a long term, full time basis - however, there may be the option for part time (as long as its over 3 days a week). The role will require you to support pupils, most likely on a 1:1 basis and assist them with their work, their social skills and ensure that they stay on task in lessons.
The candidate must be hard working, enthusiastic, willing to work on a supply basis and have a passion for working with pupils who display challenging behaviour. The candidate will have experience ideally in an education setting or experience working with challenging children. It would be ideal if the candidate also had experience working with pupils with Autism and/or mental health issues.
