Alternative Provisions across Leeds are actively looking for Behaviour Support and Teaching Assistant staff to start from September on a full time basis. You will be supporting students, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues and that need extra dedication, in a 1:1 and small groups basis. The ideal candidate will be calm, resilient and have strong behaviour management skills.
Teaching Personnel, the UK's leading agency for Education Recruitment and Ofsted rated as 'Good', are currently working with schools across Leeds (Beeston, Middleton, Seacroft and Burley) who are under the same trust. The schools are looking for several full time Behaviour Support Workers/Teaching Assistants to join their busy and fast paced team on a temporary to permanent basis.
The schools cater to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues that come from disadvantaged and Looked After backgrounds and are detached and disengaged from their learning. These students tend to have mental health and emotional issues and Special Educational Needs, particularly ADHD and Autism. We are looking for someone who can be resilient and calm in the face of the challenges that come with this type of role and someone with strong behaviour management skills.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have behaviour management experience and/or training such as Team Teach or MAPA
- Come from a background of mental health, SEN, Psychology or Sport
- Have a strong personality and resilient nature
