Behaviour Support Assistant Required for Salford Primary School, M3.

Working with Year 6 Boy with Behavioural Needs

Possible Autism support

I am currently working in close partnership with a "Good" Primary School in the heart of Salford, M3. With inclusion and support at the centre of what the school pride themselves on, they are actively looking to recruit a number of teaching assistants that can support behaviour and inclusion within Key Stage 2. As a behaviour support assistant, you would be expected to support, engage and inspire learning on a 1:1 and small group basis. In addition, there would be freedom within the curriculum for creativity so sports coaches looking to transition into primary school support roles would be encouraged to apply.

You would be working very closely with the SENCO and inclusion team to help support behaviour in Year 6 in particular, however there is scope to support behaviour and autism in other areas of school too.

Community and Youth Workers along with sports coaches looking to transition into primary schools would be welcomed to apply as their transferable skill sets have worked in school previously. All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
