Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant- Salford Primary School
Working 1:1 and with small groups
Large Primary School
Teaching Personnel are urgently seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant on behalf of a large Primary school in Salford (M5). This full time Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant position is required to start immediately and will be until Christmas initially. Further, there is the strong possibility of an extension for the successful Behaviour Support Assistant dependant upon effectiveness within the role.
- Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant
- To work with identified pupils to improve behaviour and engagement in lessons and school life.
- Pay of up to £350 per week dependant upon experience.
- The opportunity to earn a fixed-term/permanent contract at the school following an initial supply period (one term).
- School located on the border of Manchester city centre with excellent public transport links.
About the role/school-
Due to a recent staff re-structure, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join our partner Primary school initially on a supply basis. Within this role you will be expected to support identified pupils across all year groups. The SENCO is particularly seeking someone who has previous experience of challenging disengaged behaviour and someone who can counteract apathy to learning.
The school is a mixed comprehensive that currently caters for over 500 pupils. Due to the vast numbers of children on roll, there are a higher percentage of pupils who are considered disadvantaged. There are also a high proportion of pupils who speak English as an Additional Language.
In the school's most recent Ofsted report, the new Senior Leadership team were praised for their immediate impact in raising standards and progress across all areas of the school.
How to apply-
The school are looking to trial interested candidates as soon as possible. Therefore to be considered immediately, please send your full CV to Pat via the link below.
