Location: Bridgend, South Wales
Pay Rate: £89.38 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Starting October 2025

We’re seeking a compassionate and proactive Behaviour Support Mentor to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a variety of Additional Learning Needs (ALN), including autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. You’ll be working closely with pupils who may find traditional classroom settings difficult, offering consistent emotional and academic support throughout the school day.
This is a hands-on, dynamic and rewarding opportunity for someone who is ready to take on a challenge and make a genuine difference in a young person’s life.
Who We’re Looking for?
- Resilient, patient and understanding attitude
- Support pupils with personal care, mobility, and sensory needs where required.
- Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEN and challenging behaviours
- Deliver consistent 1:1 and small group support during lessons and daily activities tailored to individual pupil need
- The ability to implement strategies to manage and de-escalate behaviour effectively
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance to help you obtain:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- Level 2 Safeguarding training
- At least two professional references covering the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
