Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant in a Blaenau Gwent secondary school, you will:

  • Encourage student engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour

  • Help create a safe, inclusive learning environment


Person Specification

We welcome applications from a variety of backgrounds. You may be:

  • A graduate looking for school experience before teacher training

  • A youth worker, sports coach, or mentor

  • Experienced in care, SEN support, or classroom assistance

Essential skills:
✔️ GCSEs (A–C) in English & Maths (or equivalent)
✔️ Patience, communication, and adaptability
