Location: Newport

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Salary: Starting at £13.75 per hour

About the Role:
As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in a specialist department. Working closely with experienced Teaching Assistants, you will deliver one-to-one and small group support to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What You Will Do:

Individualized Student Support: Assist pupils with tailored learning activities and emotional support to meet their unique ALN requirements.

Small Group Support: Facilitate engaging group sessions that promote participation and help implement lesson plans designed by teachers.

Relationship Building: Foster trusting, positive connections with students to create a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Classroom Environment: Help maintain a positive, nurturing learning space that encourages motivation, inclusion, and positive behaviour.

Professional Growth: Gain valuable hands-on experience and ongoing training in educational practices, especially relating to ALN.
