The School Teaching Personnel have a long standing relationship with this School in Guildford. The school has an average of 55 pupils on roll with boarding facilities. They cater for boys with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs with additional special needs such as Autism and Complex Learning Needs who have either been excluded from mainstream education, or are unable to access mainstream education. The school is set in 42 acres of ideally situated, geographically Surrey countryside and developmentally and strategically able to become a leading Social, Emotional and Mental Health School within and across the South East, therefore candidates that can drive are more ideal but the bus stop is about a 10-15 minute walk to the school.
The Job Through Teaching Personnel we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and energetic people to join our current team of staff for September 2018 who are committed to improving the lives of their students. You will work as part of a team in a warm, homely environment where students are supported and able to experience a wide range of activities (Including quad biking!) that encourage independence and acceptable behaviour in line with behaviour plans. The Pastoral and Learning Support staff working with KS3, 4 and 5 and responsible for supporting termly topics across the class of 4-8 students and also 1:1 support. You will also work as part of the larger school team with teachers and therapists to share information and provide an integrated support package of education, care and independence training for the young people.
Minimum Requirements - Any relevant SEN/Autism experience or qualifications is desired, however not essential so please still apply. - A passion and enthusiasm to see pupils achieve their best potential - Dedication to the needs of all your pupils, working with other staff members to offer emotional and academic support - A Child Only DBS on the Update Service, or one done through Teaching Personnel - Good interpersonal skills and confidence - Punctual and reliable - Enjoys a challenge

Candidates are required to work full time 8.30am-15:30/16.30pm depending on training days.
