Higher Level Teaching Assistant (Level 3)
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a Primary School in Derby to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and motivational Level 3 Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their supportive school team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is keen to make a real impact on pupils’ learning and progress. The role involves supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working with individuals, small groups and whole classes, with responsibility for covering whole classes during short periods of teacher absence.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the school curriculum

Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning, accelerate progress and meet specific needs
-
Confidently deliver whole-class teaching during short-term teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning
-
Assist with the planning, preparation, delivery and review of learning activities in line with best practice and national guidance
-
Take responsibility for planning and delivering specified packages of work, including lesson planning, assessment and reporting where required
-
Contribute to the development of high-quality learning resources

Support the smooth day-to-day running of the classroom and promote a positive learning environment

Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
-
Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
-
Has previous experience working in a primary school setting
-
Is confident leading whole-class learning when required
-
Is enthusiastic, proactive and motivated
-
Has strong communication skills and works well as part of a team
-
Is passionate about supporting children and young people to achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
