Here at Teaching Personnel we are looking for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant who is experienced in working with pupils with additional needs and challenging behaviours.
We are looking for a candidate who is confident, passionate and driven in supporting children and young people with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience of working in education with at least 1 year experience working with SEN/challenging behaviours.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working in a classroom and have the ability to support children and young people with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues.
The hours are working from 8:30-3:30, 5 days a week - Term time only.
The positions are challenging, yet rewarding and need someone who is strong in character.
Candidates must have qualifications in GCSE grade C and above or equivalent. Having the following qualifications will strength your application:
- Team Teach
- MAPA
- Challenging behaviours in the classroom
- Classroom management
- NVQ SEN teaching Assistant
- BTEC level 3 in sports
- Other sports related qualifications
Having the above qualifications is not essential but it is desired.
The roles are to start as soon as possible so if you have a DBS in child workforce only and it is on the Update Service then we can process your documents faster. However if you do not have a DBS then we can support you through the process
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
