Job description

A full time position for a Behaviour Support Assistant. This role commences after October 2018 half term and will involve working 5 days a week up until July 2019.The head of site is currently looking to meet with potential Behaviour Support Assistants throughout the summer, so those with the appropriate skills and expertise should apply as soon possible. This position is a temporary position so would be an ideal starting point for recent graduates who are seeking a career in education and are looking to gain valuable experience.

The Setting is a Pupil Referral Unit which is located in Manchester and runs across 9 sites. The pupils who attend the Setting often show signs of challenging behaviour and can be prone to aggressive outbursts, so the Setting are ideally seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant who has significant experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.

The ideal Behaviour Support Assistant will have:

- A qualification related to Youth work or Behaviour

- Significant experience working with pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour

- An in-depth knowledge of crisis prevention tactics

- A driver's licence (essential for travelling across various sites)
