Behaviour Support Assistant Required in Breightment

Are you experienced supporting pupils with SEMH, Challenging Behavioural needs or ASC needs? Are you able to implement effective behaviour management strategies or are you Team Teach trained? Do you have a real passion for making a difference in pupils learning journeys and providing further opportunities to pupils that come from disadvantaged backgrounds?
If so a larger than average primary school located in the Breightment area of Bolton and was previously graded as Good by Ofsted. The school is looking to appoint a behaviour support assistant to work across their KS2 setting, specifically working with targeted pupils in their Year 5 and 6 classes, tailoring specific interventions to ensure that little learning time is wasted and pupils remain on task in a safe and nurturing environment.
In order to be successful you will need to:
- Have previous experience dealing with challenging behaviour, SEMH, Counselling or ASC needs.
- Have a calm and approachable manor.
- Have a real passion to make a difference in pupil's lives.
- Team Teach training would be beneficial, however is not essential.
- Have a strong classroom presence.
- Be confident implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
- Be pro-active, enthusiastic and flexible.
- Be a strong communicator and be able to work as part of a team.
