Offsite Teaching Assistant Needed – September 2021 start– Full-time role - Daily rate GBP61.20 to 75 – CF3 Area, Cardiff, Perm contract being offered.
Teaching personnel currently has an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a change in career. One of our larger partner schools in the Cardiff area are currently seeking a teaching assistant to join their offsite pupil provision in the new academic term.
The school are looking for someone who has experience supporting wellbeing and behavioural needs previously. The provision will be outside of mainstream education within a local hall where you will be expected to work alongside 2 other members of staff supporting 6 challenging pupils within the offsite provision.
A typical day within the school for you will be supporting on a 1:1 basis with selected pupils during the day. In addition to that elements of working within small groups will be required alongside. Within the provision you will be following an alternative educational curriculum, using sports and the creative field’s to incorporate education. Due to the increased challenges pupils are now facing this provision’s aim is to ensure these pupils are equipped for life outside of education.
Before starting for the day as a teaching assistant you will be expected to speak to gage how each individual is feeling and what they need support with. You will be expected plan according to the pupil’s needs each week taking emotional and educational development into account throughout.

- Full time (Monday to Friday)
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and behavioural needs
- Starting in September
- Daily rate GBP61.20 – 75

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
