A secondary school in the Stretford area of Trafford is looking for a Behaviour Mentor/Teaching Assistant to join their growing SEN department. The school is a flourishing school and has an Inclusion centre within their SEN department. The school are seeking an experienced Mentor or Learning Support Assistant to join their growing team to support students within the classroom. The successful Mentor will also have the opportunity to work with students on a 1 to 1 basis, in small groups as well as being based within the classroom assisting the classroom teacher.

The successful candidate should be keen to work with students that may have behavioural issues or require additional attention and support. The school has a strong support network and believes in an inclusive nature. They are therefore looking for a motivated individual who has previous experience working with students either in a secondary school setting or a pupil referral unit.
Ideally the successful mentor will be able to relate to the students well, acting as a role model and someone they can look up to. Engaging with the students is the key to this role and will suit someone who can build on relationships and gain the trust and buy in from students.
