Behaviour Support Mentor
Are you looking to secure a rewarding role working 1:1 in a secondary school?
Pay: GBP 66-80 a day
Location: Bristol
Role: KS3 1:1 challenging behaviour support
Your main role will be to support and encourage the learning of the student that you are working with. The child you will be supporting is currently in KS3 and since returning after the school closures their behaviour has been unpredictable. The Head Teacher feels arranging the 1:1 support now be beneficial for the child, to create structure and build a positive relationship.
This is an extremely rewarding role, where no two days are the same. For the successful Behaviour Mentor, there is also the potential for a permanent contract to be offered.
- Ensuring the student is focused on schoolwork and not distracted
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships
- You must be confident managing behaviour and staying calm
- Be a good listener with an empathetic approach
- Experience working with young people and SEN (not necessarily in a classroom) is desirable
Behaviour Support Mentors must have the right to work within the UK and the ability to provide two references from their most recent employers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid child workforce Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
