Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a client pupil referral unit based in Aberdare. The school are looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with severe challenging behaviour. You will be required to start at 8:30 and finish by 4:00. Pay will be based entirely on experience.


This School requires someone who can work closely with this specific pupil and improve behaviour quickly. You must have previous experience in a similar role and be available on a full-time basis, immediately. Team Teach Training will be advantageous for the role.

  • Minimum 6 months experience as a mentor or similar role.
  • UK driving licence
  • Access to a car
  • Business insurance
  • Team Teach Trained (desirable)
  • Other relevant courses completed
  • Sports background (desirable)
  • Cool under pressure and able to deal with de-escalating situations
  • Persistent, calm and assertive personality
