Behaviour mentor - Radcliffe, Bury (M26) primary school

A primary school in the Bury (M26) area are looking for a Key Stage 1 Behaviour Mentor to support a child on a 1:1 basis in intervention sessions and in the class room setting. The pupil has Social Emotional Mental Health Needs and the Head Teacher is looking for a someone to engage the pupil and help them access the national curriculum.

They pupil has been showing disrupted behaviour in the classroom so the ideal candidate will have experience working

The Behaviour Mentor will be expected to support the pupil in the class room as they have previously show disruptive behaviour. 1:1 sessions outside the classroom will also be used to raise attainment academically. The candidate will be working in a 'GOOD' school and will liaise with the SENCO, inclusion Manager and teachers to record progression and identify any other gaps in the pupils education.

  • Full time opportunities available
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour is desirable
  • Supporting students inside the classroom and in the Learning Resource Centre
  • Access a range of CPD courses to bolster personal learning and development

This is a large primary school and the number of pupils with special educational needs is above the national average. The school has a strong leadership team and will be able to support to right candidate with CPD courses for their own personal development.
