Job description

A Secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Oldham wish to hire a full time behaviour mentor for an immediate start. The successful applicant will join a supportive staff team and undertake regular training; there is an opportunity for this to become a permanent position dependent on performance. Teaching Personnel Manchester SEN branch work in partnership with this school based in Oldham to cater for all of their long term staffing needs.

The school caters for secondary aged children aged 11-16 who struggle to access education due to their learning needs, specifically you will support children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. The role as a behaviour mentor will include undertaking structured and agreed learning activities/programmes, both on a 1-2-1 and small group basis, taking into consideration pupils learning styles. This position would be ideal for a behaviour mentor who has experience working in a PRU and Residential Setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
