Behaviour mentor needed -September Start

Job description

The Governors of a large secondary in Newport have asked us to find teaching assistants for September. There are a number of positions available supporting secondary aged children with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties. You will earn between £285 - £330 a week! Working the usual school hours

This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience before completing a PGCE or to take a step into the education sector.

Desired backgrounds include:

  • Sports
  • Youth work
  • Psychology
  • Vulnerable adults & Children
  • Art & Design

Although this is a large secondary school you will be based in their learning center supporting in small groups with a large team of teaching assistants. Use your experiences and guide these children through their school life.

The head has asked that the successful candidate to be proactive and engaging with the children because they need full time support and a role model to look up to.
