Job description

A specialist academy in Gainsborough is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to work across various classes in their school, supporting students with an EHCP of Social Emotional Mental Health. The school offers education to students aged from 11 to 19 with a range of learning difficulties including Autism, ADHD which can lead to elements of challenging behaviour.

The school has a very positive atmosphere and their ethos of celebrating achievement at all times is extremely important in their ability to promote learning and good behaviour.

The successful Teaching Assistant must be engage with the students and build trusting relationships with them. This will then enable the successful candidate to be able to promote academic, social and emotional development; ultimately leading to an increase in independence skills and setting students up for their next step in life.

  • Working within a SEN school
  • Care Work
  • Youth Work
