Exciting opportunity to build your experience in schools
Due to an increase in demand from our schools, we are urgently seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to work with SEMH pupils at mainstream secondary schools in Portsmouth and the surrounding area. We work alongside challenging schools to provide essential support to rengage pupils in their education and value the importance of school life.
We can offer flexible employment, where you can work when you choose, as often as you choose. Full time and part time posiitions are currently available, with day to day work to cover absent support staff also required.
Types of Roles: Supply work can take on many forms, from day to day emergency cover to short term cover for a few days at a time. We have roles that sometimes become extended to last a few weeks if covering sickness. These can sometimes lead on to longer term placements and permananet roles if this is something you are open to.
You will need to have a flexible attitude, be a good team player and have excellent organisational skills, with a can-do approach and be ready for anything.
The successful applicants are expected to:
- Have experience working in schools OR have experience working with individuals that have special needs and/or challenging behaviour
- Be committed to schools objectives and ethos
