Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School in Levenshulme

A forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral and support team from September 2025. This is a full-time position ideal for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed in school.

If you have experience in youth work, mentoring, or education and want to make a tangible difference in students’ lives, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students at risk of exclusion or disengagement from learning

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group behaviour interventions

• Promote positive behaviour strategies and model emotional regulation

• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and pastoral teams

• Build trusting relationships with students and act as a consistent point of support

• Monitor behaviour plans and contribute to school-wide inclusion initiatives

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in youth work, mentoring, education or behaviour support

• Calm, empathetic and resilient under pressure

• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

• Able to build rapport and establish boundaries with young people

• A proactive team player with a genuine desire to support vulnerable students
