Teaching Personnel are exclusively partnered with a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision based in Basingstoke who are currently seeking Behaviour Learning Support Assistant's to start in September 2018. The school caters specifically to Secondary aged pupils with a variety of complex needs, including: Anxiety and Self-harm, Disruptive, Antisocial and Uncooperative Behaviour.
The school is currently expanding and is seeking 2 new Teaching Assistants to work with pupils on a small group or 1:1 basis. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. This role will require successful candidates to assist pupils with a range of daily tasks, such as: transporting pupils between classes and engaging pupils with education and lesson plans.
Candidates that are traditionally suited to these roles, will be confident or have experience in two or more of the following bullet points:
- Criminology
- Youth/Community work experience
- SEN experience
- Residential support/care worker
- Sports coaching
- Youth Offending Services
- Challenging behaviour within family
- Mentoring
- Psychology
This Behaviour LSA role will operate between 8.30am and 3.30pm, Monday-Friday with potential to earn between £54.00 and £65.00 per day (dependant on experience and qualifications). Applicants applying for this position must have:
- GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (A-C)
- Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check
In addition if you're interested in gaining new qualifications, Teaching Personnel offer development courses through our CPD Academy; such as Autism Awareness, Safeguarding and Team Teach.
