• Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30am – 4:20pm
• Wednesday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 2:30pm
• Approx. 35+ hours per week

About the Role

Raise Education & Wellbeing School are seeking a resilient, compassionate and proactive Behaviour Intervention Support Assistant to join their trauma-informed team across their Bolton sites on a temp to perm basis.

You will support pupils aged 11–19 with SEMH, ASC and complex behavioural and emotional needs, helping them to regulate emotions, re-engage with learning and develop positive coping strategies in a structured, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour intervention support
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
• Implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and EHCP targets
• Use de-escalation and co-regulation approaches during challenging situations
• Build strong, consistent relationships with pupils to improve engagement and attendance
• Support transitions between lessons, break times and learning environments
• Assist teaching staff with tailored learning activities
• Record observations and contribute to progress and behaviour tracking systems

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, ASC or behavioural needs
• Calm, patient and emotionally resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Understanding of trauma-informed and attachment-aware practice
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in education, youth work, care or similar settings (desirable)

Additional Requirements

• Must be a driver with access to a vehicle
• Ability to travel between both Bolton school sites as required
• Mileage paid for travel between school sites

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
