We are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Farnworth (BL4) to recruit an SEN Teaching Assistant to support students within the school's specialist provision. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly supportive team, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, complex learning needs and communication difficulties.
• Work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to deliver tailored learning and intervention programmes.
• Support students with their personal care needs where required, ensuring dignity and promoting independence at all times.
• Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, engagement and emotional wellbeing.
• Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN is desirable.
• Comfortable providing personal care as part of the role.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to commit to a full-time role and keen to develop within a school setting.
