Graduate Teaching Assistant – Wigan | Gain School Experience Before Teacher Training
Multiple secondary schools across Wigan have asked us to recruit enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants and future Cover Supervisors to support their students from September. If you're considering a career in teaching, this is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience, receive ongoing training, and build the confidence and skills needed before starting teacher training.
The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers to support students in lessons, provide one-to-one and small group interventions, and help create a positive learning environment. Full training is provided, so previous school experience isn't essential.
As you gain confidence and experience, you'll also have the opportunity to work as a Cover Supervisor, delivering pre-planned lessons in the teacher's absence. This comes with increased responsibility and the opportunity to earn a higher daily rate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
