Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large Secondary School in Bury. The senior leadership of this school are currently seeking an enthusiastic HLTA to join their dedicated team of support staff from September 2026.

About the role:

• £2000-2400 per month.
• Paid weekly via PAYE (No umbrella company or agency fees)
• Secondary school located in the Bury, easily accessible via bus, tram and car (on-site parking)
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work with small groups of pupils and work on interventions across Key Stages 3 and 4. This promises an exciting opportunity to work with a range of age and ability. You will be comfortable tailoring your teaching style to suit the individual learning needs of the students and be familiar with supporting students who have Special Educational Needs. You will also teach classes and cover planned absences where required.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the SENCO lead and other support staff to design and implement learning support programmes to ensure that students are supported in achieving their full academic potential.

Requirements:

• Proven experience supporting students aged 11-16
• Higher level teaching assistant status
• Dedication to support pupils with SEND and diverse learning needs
