Learning Support Assistant

We’re looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Heywood from September.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a real difference to students’ learning and confidence. You’ll work alongside teachers to support students in lessons, provide additional help where needed and help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

The role will include:

• Supporting students across KS3 and KS4
• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Helping students access the curriculum and stay engaged
• Working closely with teachers and the wider support team
• Supporting students with their confidence, independence and progress
• Helping maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children or young people
• Ideally has experience within a school or education setting
• Is patient, approachable and confident supporting students
• Can build positive relationships with pupils
• Is reliable, proactive and committed to helping students succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
