Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant

Working in partnership with an Autism Specialist School near Horsforth, Leeds I am seeking a Teaching Assistant to work closely with students aged 4-19, many who have autistic spectrum condition along with other complex needs including communication and interaction. The role is a full time position and you will be required to work predominantly one to one with learners as required however there will also be small group work involved. 

I am looking for someone who:

• Can show empathy towards students
• Is patient and can adapt to all levels of childrens learning needs
• Has a calm and nurturing personality
• Can use forms of positive reward and clear instruction to encourage children to succeed
• Is resiliant and can perform in an ever changing environment
