Autism Specialist Teacher - Stretford - KS2 Teacher

• KS2 Autism Teacher - Manchester
• Pupils working at Plevels and low national curriculum levels
• Pupils have moderate learning needs and Autism Spectrum Condition
• Position for rest of the academic year - potentially permanent

Our partner SEN School in Trafford, Manchester require a KS2 Teacher to start immediately. The pupils within this class are predominantly boys in Year 6 and require strong behaviour management. This school caters for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition, therefore Teachers that have experience working with individuals with ASC are essential.

As this position is due to start immediately, a DBS on the update service is desirable.

This school is a good school with many outstanding features. They are ambitious for all the children and young people to achieve positive outcomes. They cater for children and young people aged 5 - 19 years of age with learning difficulties, communication difficulties and those of the Autistic Spectrum. Their aim is to engage all in learning through outstanding and creative teaching, supporting all on their journey wherever that may be.

The ideal Teacher will;

• Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience working with young people with ASC
• Have previous experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour
• Have a passion for developing the social and emotional development of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
• Have a resilient character
• Be available 5 days a week and able to start immediately
• Have a DBS on the update service
